A Secret for Life

Sssh it’s supposed to be a secret! 

A 7 year old who didn’t even know what a secret looks like, how it is supposed to be kept safe within oneself, started to keep a secret for lifetime. 

That day, that day when a familiar hand touched her body but in a very unfamiliar way and she was unable to decide, it just didn’t feel right.

A superhero from the day she was born was turning into a villain of her life. 

She cried the whole night and was too weak to fight yet was so strong to decide to not let it ruin her life. 

The next time she fought, fought in silence and didn’t let anyone know the violence. 

Years have passed but it still haunts her, haunts her to the extreme that she goes numb, but she always decides to come back stronger. 

She still carries that baggage inside her heart and wakes up everyday with an unheard scar. 

But it will always remain a secret, her little secret because this secret has saved many lives.
